By A Customer This lexicon, among other things, is a tremendous guide to the people and places we find when we travel within ourselves. So very few religious texts describe the higher heavens in very much detail. This book offers specifics about each level of Soul's existence, and a plethora of words you can chant in contemplation to see what you can see for yourself!

I've been a member of Eckankar for over 20 years, as well as follow some of the other spiritual paths that all fall under the same umbrella: Paths of Light and Sound (L&S). There are many different paths that follow L&S, so to choose which is right for you: follow the one that resonates best with your person. And yes, that can change over time, which is okay. And no, you don't need to know all the terminology to go far within this path - I'm a living, breathing example of this, and yet, it hasn't hampered my Astral (OBE) experiences in the least.Lately, I've been enjoying a master's talks on Sant Mat - another soul travel path utilizing L&S - by watching and listening to IshwarPuriJiSantMat talks on *theyoutube. *Purposefully written this way so Amazon doesn't delete the reference. And for whichever path you choose, happy travels! Astral and Soul Travel are very real, so I hope all that's reading my review pursues this endeavor.One more thing: Remember, these paths are not religious paths (okay, maybe they are registered that way for tax purposes), so you can continue to follow your religious path, yet still enhance your spiritual experiences with an L&S spiritual path.

A Wonderful Historical Novella By Michele Doucette The adept Mary Mageau has done it again, this time in a novella set in the time frame of the clipper ships. I was so fascinated with the story that I was quick to research the Shipwreck Coast of south-western Victoria, Australia, a coast that spans a distance of approximately 130 km. It was explorer Matthew Flinders who stated: "I have seldom seen a more fearful section of coastline." Of the approximately 700 known shipwrecks along Victoria’s coast, only 1/3 of them have been discovered.I was astounded to discover that the Loch Ard, an iron-hulled clipper ship, was lost in 1878 while sailing from England to Melbourne. Caught in continuous fogs, the Captain mistakenly thought he was some 50 miles out from the treacherous rocks and cliffs. On June 1, the Loch Ard struck Mutton Bird Island to the east of Port Campbell. Frantic efforts to save the 1700-tonne ship failed and she was dashed on to rocks.Only two people from the 54 passengers and crew survived. A cabin boy called Tom Pearce helped save a young woman Eva Carmichael, who had been washed on wreckage into the cove now known as Loch Ard Gorge. After they spent the night in a cave, Pearce climbed the gorge's cliffs and eventually found help.Mary takes this time period in history and makes it come to life; a master at painting a picture for all to see, courtesy of her words. Clearly, I lived the tale of a story based on this ill-fated ship.

She is able to convey scenes and to evoke the feelings connected with places and people. This story, set in the days of the racing clippers, commences in Scotland, moves to Ireland and thence to Australia. The outcome was not as anticipated - a delightful change from many historical novels!Another to add to your list of books to be read if you enjoy accurate historical adventures.

I know the true story of the Loch Are but Mary has brought this alive for the reader.Mary's research is meticulous and her writing style is fluent and easy to read, yet the reader is taken on an rousing adventure with real characters and a tight plot. Recommended for all ages.

I lost a lot of sleep at night reading this page turner. The original publication was in serial form in Newspapers, and so reading the book was a challenge to guess where the breaks were. I could just imagine people rushing to the news stands to get the latest installment. Theophile Gauthier kept me waiting until the very end to bring it all together. A real pleasure to read such a fine book.

About the Author The author was born eighty-odd years ago at the height of the depression. She wrote her first "story" at age seven. It had a beginning, a middle and an end and it rhymed. She has not stopped writing since. She has completed and published three novels, The Bag Lady, In Dutch, and Their "Place" and several volumes of short stories are in the works. She is a retired teacher and has written, directed and produced musical dramas for both Deaf and Hearing as well as having taught a high school Theater Arts class. She is the mother of five and grandmother of ten and resides in Tallahassee, FL where she is still hard at work with her writing.

Exciting continuation of Adara's journey By Amazon Customer I liked this second book of Adara's journey to rescue her kidnapped brother and the other Meeks more than the first. It's an action-packed story as the main character is swept from one dire circumstance to another. At the same time, it captures many of the universal concerns of teens coming of age without belaboring them.I admire that the author had the courage to set the personal stakes for Adara very high in this volume. War is a messy business, and it comes at a horrific cost. That's a tough lesson and one that many authors gloss over for fear of alienating readers. Heroes have to win some and lose some, or the story becomes implausible and lacks tension. That's certainly not the case in A Silence Heard. I look forward to the next volume.

By Margarita Gakis 'A Silence Heard' is book 2 in the Song of Forgetfulness series and picks up right where book 1, 'Echoes from the Lost Ones' left off. We follow Adara on her mission to find and free her bro-bro, Deogol, from the Agros.As with the first novel the language of this book is stunning. So much of the world building comes from the way the characters speak and interact with each other. It's strange but yet familiar enough to be readily understood. It definitely enhances the atmosphere and the setting.The stakes are high as Adara continues to delve deep into the mystery of the kidnapped Meeks. Without giving too much away, it really is life or death at times for Adara and her companions as they travel to the Agro compound to find her brother and other kidnapped children.A Silence Heard was action oriented and perilous! I was definitely on the edge of my seat as I read, waiting to find out what happened next!

Mutumba Nicola McDonagh's book A Silence Heard is a continuation of Echoes From the Lost Ones. It follows Echoes in the Song of Forgetfulness Series. Yet the book can be read and understood and enjoyed on its own. The main character, Adara, maintains her spirit of courage and inspires her companions to keep going in their unrelenting search for her bro and his fellow lost ones to the very end and to success.Like in the first book, the complicated language in this one too calls for a high degree of concentration if the reader will follow the otherwise interesting story. The book's strange character makes reading it a worthwhile adventure that can enrich one's literary experience.The book is worth one's money and time.Rev. James E. Mutumba
