7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. OK, I'm hooked on this author, now let's finish some of the stories (pleeeeeassse) By RSTJA The storyline was great. I won't spoil the plot. I am a big fan of this genre, and this book didn't disappoint me. In the end, as with another book by this author (Billy Todd), I was left dying for a sequel. I gave the book high marks, but if I knew for sure that this was the end of the series, I would have been inclined to lower my score. Try as I have, I can't find evidence that the author is planning sequels for the excellent - but in my opinion still open in terms of plot completeness - books. A good example of a complete story would be Earth Abides. That book was a multi-course meal, dessert included, whereas this story seemed to have omitted dessert and maybe even a portion of the main meal. I would much rather an author complete a story in 1 book, or at most 2. The present trend of endless sequels seems to sidestep the all important quality of an author to paint a complete picture in one work of art.In a way, I "hire" an author to do a complete body of work; I hire contractors to do the same thing in my house. If my contractor started to leave work unfinished, and would show up periodically to incrementally make progress toward a shifting finish line, I would tire of it and find another contractor. I maintain it should be no different for readers and their chosen author.Dear NC Reed, please pity us and let us know what your fine characters are up to now. I miss them and need to elbow my way back into their world, a world far more interesting than much of my reality

As usual the ending demands a sequel, of course!If you are looking for a book that offers you absolutely outstanding characterizations, surprising plot twists, and a unique treatment of the standard "pandemic" novel, READ THIS BOOK TODAY! The characters develop as the story moves along, ultimately turning into people you would like to know. I am becoming a serious fan of this author with my only reservation being that almost every novel begs for a sequel or two! ENJOY

Tammy and Ringo By Lynette Scherer I would have given this novel five stars but the character development is just beginning when the story ends...I would love to know if the titled characters become a couple but that is not the case also what of Ringo's traumatic experience...we're left to wonder and that irked me...:(
