Great book, easy reading By Amazon Customer Great book, easy reading, amazing message, colorful and fun illustration.I got this book for my 4-year old daughter. She immediately fell in love with Sue, and so did I. We are reading Sue the Fish every other night. Even though it's not a poem, thanks to its rhyming words my daughter has already memorized many lines and feels she can read it.My 21-month old son is fascinated with the pictures. When he sees we are taking the book to read, he comes running and shouting "Fish, fish!"We have read Sue the Fish so many times, my daughter feels like she is the only one who knows about "Sue's secret" and she keeps giving me hints about it.I personally love the message the book carries. I'm a preschool teacher and I use the book to show the kids that things are not always as they might look. We have to be open to new ways of looking at the world, problems and differences, and that we are all different, which makes us unique.

As another reviewer pointed out, studies have shown people who curse a lot have a higher IQ, and tend to be more creative. Well, what better way to exercise that creativity and intelligence, than with these pencils in hand? They come in an attractive, fun box (I mean READ IT!), and there are two pencils with each saying, one light, one dark. They arrive seriously sharpened (I don't think I've ever had such a sharp pencil, no joke, lol), attractively presented, and brilliantly stamped. They definitely add a smile to my day, and are a great conversation starter.

But they say everything that needs to be said! It's been shown in studies that people who swear a lot tend to be more honest and loyal. So what about when your writing implements help you bring a little extra touch of profanity to your life? F------ Brilliant, that's what I say!The flourishes make them slightly feminine, but not so much that my fiance didn't get a good laugh when I bought these for us for Christmas. I mean, how can you be unhappy when your pencil says fuck-a-doodle-do?

I was pleasantly surprised and feel that this book is a great addition to players who wish to improve their game By bc I was a bit skeptical of this book at first as I didn't think it would have anything new to offer that isn't already in other books, and being a compilation of several authors I thought the book would not have a consistent level of quality. I was pleasantly surprised and feel that this book is a great addition to players who wish to improve their game.My favorite chapter so far is the one by Alex Fitzgerald on hand ranges. It starts with one of the best explanations of the ICM model and why you should care about it in tournaments. Then Alex goes on to explain how to do the maths to determine if a particular bet is profitable given the situation and player range for the particular hand. I'll be reading this chapter several times / and follow the practice exercises he suggests with getting used to popular software packages like flopzilla. If you read only this chapter and applied its lessons you will become a better player guaranteed.The chapter with Phil and Liv is interesting in that it shows how two different styles (old school feel / experience vs. new school math / range analysis) can both be successful.The chapter by Evan Jarvis is a good summary of some of his lessons and ideas from his youtube videos and website. Nice concise chapter.My least favorite chapter is the one by Chris Moneymaker. The chapter didn't seem to add anything new in terms of ideas or technique that any player with more than a year's experience at tournaments doesn't already know.All in all a very good book with material that captures some of the latest poker experts ideas into one convenient place.

It is a not a beginners book, and you must be a competent player to understand parts of the book. Several chapters were outstanding, a few not so much. Moneymaker and Miller's chapters are straightforward and I highlighted several sections to reread, as well as other sections in the poker strategy first part of the book. The 2nd part, the technical game was probably the best sections as Fitzgerald, Hellmuth,Boeree, Little, and Busquet hit a home run explain numerous hands and aspects of the game at the upper levels of tournaments. Tipton, goes into a optimal strategies and is very confusing overall. The mental game section as the last part of the book is a great overall talk on mental prep., getting rid tilt, and hypnotherapy. I only had a tilt issue early on, and this confirmed my approach to all tournaments as Little always says, If your ahead most of the time getting your money in good, you will eventually come out ahead in the war, maybe not in the immediate battle. I highly recommend this book, especially if you plan on moving up to bigger events, a great perspective from some of the pro's playing poker.

The cast list is first rate and the breadth of topics covered comprehensive. For sure, you may want to follow up some themes with more detailed study but as a point of departure for the full range of NLHE formats and skill sets (technical and mental) this is excellent.

It has small chapters that are easily digestible, and each chapter has several recommendations for activities to help you achieve more calm and peace in your life. Also, each chapter has a summary at the end, if you're a skimmer like me ;)I specifically liked the way the chapters are divided. They really only cover one point, so it's not difficult to get all of the information out of each chapter. The text is very clear, and well-organized, unlike some ebooks I've purchased for Kindle.The author gives specific meditation prompts to achieve different results, and includes poetry to inspire you. It would be difficult to not take a look at your life and slow down to enjoy it after reading this book.

While reintroducting a lot of the same characters, he does a nice job of making each book different. Always manages to keep me guessing and I'm surprised when his twists and turns prove me wrong, especially in "The Prosecution of General Hastings" which I think is his best work yet. I look forward to more from A.A. MacQueen.Andrea Bingham in Boston

The characters that have been introduced and developed sometimes feel like old friends. The stories are full of adventure, intrigue, humor and some romance. I keep wanting to turn the page - even the last one - for the next piece of the story. The books are just fun to read!

I liked the character Lucy By Jo Carson-Barr Similiar to the first book in this series 'The Caretaker of Imagination', Lucy's Story is a story with many levels, depending on the ability/age of the reader. I liked the character Lucy, she is very real and children will relate well with her and the situations she finds herself in. There are many deep questions included in the story (i.e the existence of God), which can be explored in depth or brushed over and the reader just enjoy the exciting, a bit scary and fascinating fast paced story line. I will be looking forward to No3 in the series, to find out what happens to Lucy and to the world and of course Uncle John. This book will be enjoyed by all who read it.

A beautiful story and voice By Paul Magnan "Lucy's Story", the second of "The Caretaker of Imagination" series, finds the niece of the first book's protagonist a little bit older and, like her uncle John in the first book, under pressure from her mother to put aside her imagination to concentrate on the responsibilities of her upcoming adulthood. But the powers of her imagination are not to be denied. In fact, they exact a toll that changes everything in Lucy's life.Thus begins an odyssey for Lucy, as she travels on a magical train filled with fanciful creatures to a place called the Galaxy Tower, where she learns that a story she had started has led to the seeming end to her world. Not only that, but monsters she created with her imagination become very real and set out after her.I love this series because Z. R. Southcombe never talks down to her target readers, which are children. She shows them that actions, intentional or not, have consequences that need to be dealt with. She also shows them that imagination is, indeed, a powerful attribute to have, and that it can accomplish much more good than bad.The author's voice flows beautifully off the pages. This is a book that begs to be read aloud. I can't wait for the next book!

Fast paced trip for your imagination By Stephen Moran This story is quite entertaining and the pace kept me reading until I was finished in one sitting. I particularly like the ease of reading in this story, perfect for kids, but with a depth to the story if a reader wishes to examine key issues.I highly recommend this book to all children of appropriate age (I believe age 7 and up is the range). This is the type of book that can inspire a young reader to read more books as is fires up the imagination and has easy to understand imagery.In closing - buy this book in paperback - it's has quite a nice cover and very easy on the eyes font. that said, I plan to download the e-book as well.Well done to the author.

Opportunities for a Better Israel By Kris The Habit of Work is a biography of Stef Wertheimer, an Israeli industrialist and philanthropist, who as a young boy fled Germany with his family when the Nazi’s took power. He started a small business in on the porch of his house in Palestine and gradually nurtured it to become an international manufacturing business widely respected throughout the world. The story of the growth of his business and his commitment to the state of Israel makes for interesting reading. But more important is his commitment to his country and the creative strategies he has adopted to promote a healthy economy that is inclusive of all religious and ethnic groups in the region. He has built a series of industrial parks that offer space for business and manufacturing startups, specialized training for local residents and a community resource for community meetings and cultural events. He maintains that people want to work, live their lives in peace and raise their children. By creating diverse workplaces he argues that people with differences will come to know one another and be tolerant of differences. Currently in his eighties, he continues to be an influential voice in the country that he loves. Given the backdrop of stories of conflict between Israel and its neighbors, Wertheimer promotes ideas that should be heard. It’s a must-read for anyone interested in Israeli history and current events.
