I also love the "bonus" facts and games in the back of each day. It's a welcome distraction when I need to take a break from my work. So, why did I take a star off? The size of the lettering. I dint know how they can fix it, but in order for me to read the cartoon of the day, I've got to pick it up and look closer, I can't just tear off the previous day's page and read the new cartoon from a distance. Not a huge problem, but something to consider if you have poor eye sight

Good Ol' Charlie Brown and the Gang By tvtv3 The PEANUTS 2016 DAY-TO-DAY CALENDAR features a Peanuts comic strip for each day of the week of the year, except Saturdays and Sundays which are featured on one page. Besides the Peanuts comic strip, the PEANUTS 2014 DAY-TO-DAY CALENDAR also features a little piece of trivia, riddle, or joke on the back of each page. There's also a small illustration of either one of the Peanuts gang in the bottom-left-hand corner of the calendar. Even with the comic strip, illustration, and the date there's more than enough space to right appointments, reminders, or notes. Great gift for a Peanuts fan.

Very hard to read, even with glasses. Every daily comic strip brightens my day! Love it, just make it easier to read! Thanks.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Tortuous Syntax By John Petralia This is a work of fiction built around the true story of Garibaldi's epic Risorgimento battles against great odds. The book, drawing on other historical works for context and facts, tells the fictional story of young Frank Percival's quest to find and release his father and grandfather from Neapolitan jailers. It's not a bad story, but the writing is really over the top. Here's one example: four years later, Frank married, and his father settled upon his country estate, to which, since his return to England, he had seldom gone down, for, although his general health was good he never sufficiently recovered from the effects of his imprisonment to be strong enough again to take part in field sport. Got that?

It is steam punk (magic and weird engineering in the Victorian Era). A Han woman out of Crouching Tiger, with an English Lord, a cross between Sherlock Holmes and Peter Wimsey. I read all three books in one day. I am certain that this author will write more if we make it worth his while and BUY his books. I really want more Strong books.

I literally couldn't put it down. The intriguing thing is - I can see much of what is written here coming to pass in our society today - and as the darkness gets darker, believers certainly should be aware of the need to "armor up" spiritually! The author is a skilled writer with the ability to weave an intricate tale of mystery and intrigue, without neglecting the development of the characters involved. The ending left you wanting more - so - already downloading Book 3 - Advance!

This series of books is really a must read for those of us that know that there is more to life than what we are experiencing here and now and would be especially important for those that do not no matter what our age is. Moore is an inspired author that has a talent for story telling.Regardless of what you think about end times, I encourage you to read these adventurous tales and while you're doing that, you will not only be entertained but I expect you will be transformed as well!

I've often wondered what it would be like to do what Jesus did and greater By DShields I've often wondered what it would be like to do what Jesus did and greater. This book explores that promise and the result is exciting, dangerous, and fulfilling for the Change Agents. The action starts in the very first chapter and doesn't let up until the end making this book very difficult to put down! I enjoyed seeing what it might be like to partner with God to bring a revolution of change to our current culture. Thanks to the author for courageously believing the best of God and His people and showing us what is possible for those who believe.

True, he wrote an accurate, honest, sometimes brutal account of life in the Roman Army as seen through his alter-persona Vepitta... and left the first book hanging at the stage of crossing the channel.That said, when asked to read a pre-publication copy, I jumped at the chance to see how he'd made the story more 'people'friendly'. He's done that, in spades!Evoking memories of my re-enactment days, tears at descriptions of friends lost in the battlefield, laughter at most inopportune moments, thoughts of what could be, and leaving with - again - "what happens next?" I really hope this book becomes number one in a series, as was planned before.IF you've read some other Roman historical fiction and think this is just another thrown together plot for money - you'll be amazed at how wrong you are, the plot has been worked through, the people, names and places all exist(ed). Having been to many places (in England) mentioned in the story, and seen people taking the names of former soldiers, John's telling of this weaving story-line, with the blatant political thrust that was 'capture Britannia, or die trying' brought back memories and faces I thought I'd forgotten.Ave et Vale amici, OR Hic advenite sic lacertosis satis estis. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great read By CE Although not my genre, I read this book because I had read the author's book about Boudica. The first person style is reminiscent (although not derivative) of Robert Graves's I Claudius and after a few pages I was completely invested in Vepitta, our narrator, whose apology for his actions is explained in his prologue which reminds us that it was the way they did things then. While not overdone, the descriptive paragraphs really bring the settings and scenes to life. You are there as a spectator at the battles, in the tents, on the marches. The author really knows his stuff and the characters and settings are completely believable. The camaraderie between our narrator and his fellow soldiers is timeless. You may hate Vepitta or you may love him, but you will want to know how he fares and whether he gets back to his family. Personally I can't wait for the next installment.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great read! By Steve I've been waiting a long time for this book and am delighted to be transported back into John Waite's world of Roman fiction. His characters are captivating, the story gripping, and the atmosphere he creates absorbing. The author is clearly an expert on the Roman world (as his non-fiction works have shown) but here he has truly managed to tread the difficult path between history and fiction to create a really interesting and enjoyable story that I would highly recommend - now I'll have to 'waite' for book II!

He's the enforcer and is sort of gruff and a lot to take lol. She's not afraid of him...well she is at first but quickly rescinded after she shocked his butt with her magic when he came off too strong and tried to scent her. LOL. Things are startin to get interesting. There are now 5 in the Coven and Jethro is actually ok with it for now but thats cause he feels something really big is coming. Caleb and Wendy still haven't mated. They are both being stubborn. In her defense she was attacked as a teenager but she DOES trust Caleb and has let him feed off her but she isn't ready to be his mate. Which is getting harder on him. Its obvious that he's having a little bit of control issues. He's still him but its a matter of time before he is worse off. She needs to get over it and mate him she KNOWS he wont hurt her and they've both known for a long time they are mates. He doesnt wanna push her which is sweet but its getting down to the wire. Alas...a cliffhanger this one. Bummer.

The author makes the following type of mistake, among others: "She was stood by the window and was drank tie." Now, we have two choices to write in English: change 'stood' to 'standing' or drop the was similar correction for drank. This author has the same problem with 'sat/sitting' and several other verbs. I have wondered if they all are actually the same person, if they all wrote in a foreign language and used an Amazon translator to publish their book in English, or some such. Also, no grasp of idioms. For instance, being on tender hooks rather than tenter hooks.

Caleb and Wendy are still dancing around each other. There is concern in the pack about a Coven. Looking forward to to reading the next book!
