"A MASSIVE EXPLOSION… levels a small town in Kansas and rips apart the commercial airliner flying overhead. The wife and child of Oliver Wells are among the thousands reported dead. Authorities blame the tragedy on an accident at a fertilizer plant not up to code. A year later, still grappling with his depression, Oliver is accosted by a mysterious stranger who offers another answer: A FARMER CAUSED THE EXPLOSION. AN EXPLOSION BORN OF THOUGHT. A THOUGHT SO PERFECT AND DIVINE IT'S SAID TO MIRROR WHAT GOD THOUGHT TO CONCEIVE THE UNIVERSE. Thrust into a hidden world of conspirators and luminaries who would do anything to attain the farmer's knowledge, Oliver finds himself in a race to confront the man who killed his family. To do so, he must test the limits of his sanity... AND UNLOCK THE POWER OF THE GOD THOUGHT FOR HIMSELF."

Newman This review is based on a free copy received from the author but reflects my own opinion.A powerful blast vaporizes an area of the Midwest, also downing an airplane. Following the blast several individuals have a dream about it and they also dream of meeting a “farmer.” One of those individuals is Oliver Wells, whose wife and daughter were killed in the blast. Oliver seemingly goes missing for a year and is on a plane himself and arrives at his destination with little or no money.A cab driver picks him up and starts driving with no particular destination in mind. Oliver notices that the driver has a very rare book that Oliver himself has read. After Oliver asks the driver about the book the driver takes him to a spot and tells Oliver it is where he is leaving him off. There are two paths. Oliver can follow the highway and return to his former life without knowing anything about the blast. Alternatively Oliver can take the road off the beaten path and find the answers he seeks. Oliver chooses the latter. The off road appears to lead out into the desert with nothing in sight. Oliver is determined to continue following though he wonders if he made a big mistake. His strength is sapped by the hot sun and he is near the end of his rope when the same farmer from the dream appears. After briefly talking with the farmer, Oliver is somehow transported back to his former home. There he is attacked by what he thinks are government agents. These agents have strange restorative powers and demand to know everything about the Farmer. Oliver learns that he himself has powers and he is able to hold off the attackers. Thus the author has set up the big mystery of the Farmer and who those men were and why they want to find out about the Farmer. Everything seems to lead back to the book that Oliver had read. Oliver at first will get help from Pamela Chance, a woman that has the power to change odds to create desired outcomes and Mr. Trevor who appears to be a cold blooded mercenary from some rogue government agency. Oliver will also have to deal with a powerful being named Marilyn. The author uses some very interesting storytelling using transcripts from a radio show about the radio blast hosted by Conspiracy Carl and Devin and various cell phone texts including those from someone with the codename of Whisper. These items are thrown in, in parallel to the main story throughout the book and each segment throws the reader another teaser. From the time Oliver meets the Farmer, I was hooked on this book. It is really well written. Oliver and Pamela are very likable characters that the reader can easily root for. Mr. Trevor is a “sleek” villain/hero that the reader doesn’t know whether to hate or root for.All in all, a really good tale. I hope the author is considering a sequel.

Just when you think it can't get anymore crazy something happens in the next chapter, throughout the whole book. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, even if you are not much of a reader, like myself. The chapters are about 3-5 pages long, so it's easy to pick up and put down if you need to. Although, it's hard to stop reading!

It is difficult to pull off a story with a concept as this one if you have no knack of keeping the reader engaged. Dave Cravens has not dragged any aspect of this story, necessarily or unnecessarily. The story is based on the idea of what happens if a layman acquires infinite power just by a thought that rose in the mind, a thought that is said to have been conceived to birth this universe, a thought called The God Thought. So, it is not enough to just have a concept for a story. You also need characters in it. Well, we have a fantastic array of characters whose special powers will amaze you; Oliver Wells, Pamela Chance, Dr. Janet Pharaoh, Mr. Trevor, Charlie, John Douglas and Marilyn Douglas. What do these characters do? They are trying to save the world from one another. How? By working for an organization that claims to strive for everyone’s wellbeing. Oh, really? Read the story to know more. This book has neatly sewn plot. Men in Black meet Harry Potter. You will not regret reading this book. It keeps you gripped to itself. How I wish somebody turned it into a movie already….
