1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Enjoyable Read By Redbud Winds of the Rio Grande is a fairly typical Western fiction with a decidedly Christian emphasis that I appreciated. The hero is Sam, the strong silent trapper who just wants to be left alone to enjoy God and explore His creation. He imperceptibly falls in love with an Indian girl, Spotted Fawn, who also enjoys solitude; only now the solitude expands to includes God and each other. This is a sweet and pure love story imagining their strenuous journey through the wildest parts of the Rio Grande valley and canyons together.I liked this book even though it has a few unique word uses, typos, and formatting glitches that shouldn't cost it a whole star, but I couldn't split one. It held my interest enough that I essentially read it through in a single session.
