You can almost feel the impact of each punch.But aside from super intense, edge-of-your-seat esper battles, Book 2 really starts to get into the deeper character development. With a colorful cast of really lovable characters, it's definitely welcome, and I'm particularly looking forward to the next book (because I really like the character it will focus on)In general, I'd recommend this to anyone who like's action, science fiction, etc. It's a fairly short read, so it's not too much of a commitment, but at the same time it's about 600 pages shorter than it needs to be, because I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ALL THE THINGS. The worldbuilding, the characters, the history, everything. When the whole series is out, I may just go back and reread the whole series at once.Cons: Had to figure out a workaround to export the Kindle book to Google Play Books, because the Kindle app is really terrible. This is not necessarily a con, because I now know how to do that for other things as well.So yeah. Can't wait for book 3![copy/pasted from Goodreads because I'm lazy]
