3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Disappointed in Reproductions of Stunning Photos. By C. Fitting The quality of the reproductions did no service to the photographic images. Too bad as the images would have been stunning if printed better. I returned the book, regretfully, as I had really looked forward to getting it but was irritated with the poor quality.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. It is not all about The Afghan Girl! By P.A. Flanagan No one makes a photograph like Steve McCurry! This beautiful picture book contains some of his most incredible work. I gave it to my niece who recently returned from India---the perfect gift. This man is a visual genius. If you only know of him because of the iconic photograph of the Afghan Girl with the amazing green eyes, do yourself a favor and purchase this book or any one of his other photographic gems.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. the poor and the poverty By Wisdom ji The photos are superb. The British have a fascination with India's dirt, dust, the poor and the poverty. The author has unconsciously is attracted to the dark side of India saying it is beautiful. I am impressed with the photography, but not the theme of the book. Of course, India is very colorful, spiritual, scenic, and Grand. McCurry has captured that very well. His travels in India over many years shows in his photographs. It is a good book for the coffee table.
