Somewhat informative By Valerie Caraotta In Adam Green's book he traces the life and legacy of Yogi Berra whom most know to be the legendary New York Yankees baseball player icon of all time. The first part of the book describes his life while the rest of it takes some quotes of his and applies it to practical aspects of daily living.Born in 1925 Lorenzo Pietro Berra would be referred to as "Yogi" when he gains sponsorship at age 14 in a junior baseball league. His 17 season tenure would vote him into the baseball Hall of Fame while holding records for World Series game play. One of Yogi's quotes "If I can see the ball I can hit the ball "would prove valid over and over as statistics reveal out of 597 times at bat, Green shared, he only struck out 12 times. His famous quotes known as "Yogisms" were cultured in his positive, likable nature.After the first third of the book the author would then use some quotes of Yogi's to elaborate on topics all finance, goalsetting, and partner relationships, for example, that seemed to create a disconnect for me in what Yogi's real intent of the quotes meant to him. Though somewhat informative, it felt like the pages were used to develop topics around a one phrase ". I did not get the real feel that Yogi would have understood the detailed scope of the message the author shared in this world.The book is easy to read and flows systematically. I would have rated it higher if more content was devoted to Yogi Berra's life instead of the other add-in content.

Although the facts may be accurate, the inept writing skills of this author are glaring. The sentence structure is very poor, lacking in appropriate grammar and punctuation. I suspect the writer FLUNKED writing classes in his education. This appears to be an attempt to quickly gather some cash off the death of the Great Yogi!!I cannot believe that Amazon would sell this piece of wastepaper.

A Few Financial, Business, and Life Lessons from Yogi By Daryl Lee Spiewak Beginning with a quick biography of Yogi in chapter one, the book then introduces a "Yogiism" and explains it in terms of financial and business lessons. I didn't count 88 items as the title proclaims, but the book was interesting and fun to read nevertheless. I just wish there was a list of more of Yogi's famous quotes.
