0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. 5 Stars!!! By JLH I'm going to start out by saying that I have not read any of the Shadow Ops books by CJ Lyons. Due to this fact, it may be why it took me until almost half way through to really get into it. I'm not saying it's a poorly written book because it's not. Jade does a great job of writing and telling the story. I just felt that I didn't really know the characters. But once I got to about the half way point, I didn't want to stop reading because WOW...everything started happening at once. I think I read the last half in record time because I wanted to know what was going to happen with Jay and Eve. I will say this, I wasn't disappointed with the ending and there isn't a cliffhanger either, but it does leave it open for the next one.

By ESP This was a suspenseful read and right up my alley, as I'm a fan of both Jade Eby and CJ Lyon's books.Jay and Eve both come from powerful and secretive families, and as college students, they are still trying to figure out who they are. They want to make a name for themselves and step out of the shadows of their family members.Jay is a loveable character, and Eve has the bite I'm used to from Jade Eby's other novels. She writes kick-ass heroines in general.This was an awesome read that I enjoyed in two sittings, and I'd recommend it to any lovers of the Shadow Ops series, or of Jade Eby's works.You won't want to miss this one!

And not just any story, one that will keep you on your toes and making you want the story to last forever. From The Shadows is no different. I never wanted this to end. It was too short for me but I love reading novellas as they are a nice break from the regular. I would give this story more then 5 stars if I could.
